What is glass?
From raw material to finished product
Glass is the truly natural choice when it comes to packaging. As a substance consisting of abundant natural minerals (chiefly sand, limestone and sodium carbonate), it is above all an environmentally-sustainable material of attractive and noble purity.
Our use of large proportions of recycled glass (cullet) in the manufacturing process also allows us to reduce the consumption of both energy and raw materials, which benefits the environment.
The defining characteristic of glass is its stability. It remains inert and inalterable at extreme temperatures, and can withstand all manner of atmospheric factors and chemical substances.
This natural resistance makes glass a healthy material, ideal for meeting the exacting demands of food-industry packaging.
